I Want to See You Win by Apostle Darien Lewis
Life feels like a battle right now.
Everywhere we look, the news is filled with stories about racial tension, economic
uncertainty, and political division. Families are under pressure, communities feel
divided, and sometimes hope seems out of reach. During these challenging times, the
support of our church community can be a significant source of strength. By leaning on
one another, sharing our burdens, and uplifting each other in faith, we can navigate
these tumultuous waters together. But I want you to know that God still wants to see
you win. Through Jesus Christ, victory is still possible, even when life feels chaotic.
The world often sees winning as having success, security, and control, but Jesus sees it
differently. He said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome
the world” (John 16:33).
Winning in God’s eyes isn’t about avoiding hardship; it’s about overcoming through faith.
You may be facing layoffs, rising costs, or the weight of injustice, but the One who walks
with you has already conquered every storm you’ll ever face.
The apostle Paul reminds us, “In all these things we are more than conquerors through
him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). This means that no matter what’s happening in the
news or what fear tries to tell you, you are not defeated. You are being shaped into
someone stronger, wiser, and more faithful.
When times are dark, let faith be your weapon. Consider a time when all seemed lost;
Imagine a father who had just lost his job, facing bills and a family to support. Instead of
giving in to despair, he turned to his faith, praying daily and trusting in God’s plan. He
attended church services, leaned on his community for support, and kept his heart
focused on hope. Slowly, opportunities opened up, and he found not only a new job but
a renewed purpose that aligned with God’s will. His story exemplifies how faith can
guide us through hardship. Pray even when answers seem delayed. Love even when
hate makes headlines.
Give even when resources are tight.
Forgive even when wounds are deep.
This is how you win, not by the world’s scoreboard but by God’s.
Maybe you’ve drifted from Jesus during this confusing season, looking for answers that
only leave you tired and empty. He is calling you back today. He wants you to walk with
Him and trust His plan again. Your peace doesn’t come from politics or paychecks; it
comes from His presence. “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and
all these things will be added to “(Matthew 6:33). A simple first step to reconnect
with Him could be to take a moment in quiet prayer each day, or to reach out to a
church member for guidance and support. Start by inviting Him back into your daily life,
and you’ll find that His peace begins to fill your heart.
And if you’ve been walking faithfully but growing weary, hear this encouragement: don’t
give up now. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you (Romans
8:11). You were built for this moment. You were called to shine in the darkness, to
endure, to rise, and to win through Christ.
So lift your head.
Pray again.
Believe again.
Forgive again.
And keep following Jesus, because He’s leading you to victory that the world can’t take
away.
